Stepping up for the Afghans who supported Canadians in their mission

We are saddened to witness the horrifying images coming out of Afghanistan as the country has reverted to Taliban rule. ADGA was eager to support an initiative by the Conference of Defence Associations Institute to welcome Afghan interpreters and their families to Canada. More than 25% of our team members are veterans and reservists, many of whom have served in Afghanistan. Former Vice Chief of the Defence Staff, LGen Guy Thibault, member of ADGA’s Strategic Advisory Council said “They were friends and allies. They deserve our greatest respect for the risks they took. Sheltering them from immediate danger is the least we can do.” ADGA has committed to providing housing and support for a family of Afghan refugees; we can only hope they will make it to Canada safely.
