Position Summary

ADGA is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer (C-UAS) to support an upcoming initiative focused on the development of a Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capability. This position will play a key role in designing, integrating, and delivering complex defence systems. You will bridge operational requirements and technical solutions, ensuring that C-UAS capabilities are effective, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture and military needs. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop C-UAS use cases, technical requirements and integration solutions aligned with operational requirements; 

  • Participate in national and international standards Working Groups (WG), program meetings, and domain-specific conferences to support the evolution of C-UAS capabilities; 

  • Develop and maintain integration strategies for Land Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition (LC5ISRT) C-UAS capabilities; 

  • Design, develop, and maintain procedures for verification and validation of components and system integration; 

  • Review and ensure software solutions meet performance, reliability, and security standards;  

  • Document architectural decisions, integration patterns, and technical specifications; 

  • Collaborate with senior architects to align intermediate-level designs with enterprise architecture goals; and 

  • Assist in the selection and evaluation of software tools, frameworks, and platforms suitable for C-UAS component integration. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Software, Computer, Systems, Electrical, or a related technical discipline)  

  • Must hold a valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in a Canadian province or territory  

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience including analysis, design, and/or implementation of solutions in one or more of the following areas: 

  • Command, control, communications, and information systems within distributed or client/server environments  

  • System management solutions (tools and processes) for communication and information systems and/or ISTAR systems  

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in:  

    • System integration, verification, and validation of hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom-developed) within new or existing systems  

    • Real-time or distributed systems environments  

    • System lifecycle management for communication and information systems or ISTAR systems  

  • Familiarity with aviation, uncrewed aerial systems, and robotics domains to support integration planning aligned with operational requirements is considered an asset. 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience developing technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in Information Technology, Information Management, or engineering domains  

  • Demonstrated experience:  

    • Communicating IT frameworks and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders  

    • Providing expert advice and recommendations to support senior management decision-making  

    • Leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT systems, frameworks, and strategies  

    • Conducting strategic, operational, and tactical planning aligned with organizational objectives 

Additional Information

  • Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance.  

  • The posted salary reflects an employee compensation model; consultant rates will be adjusted accordingly. Consultants will be required to hold a Controlled Goods clearance and Insurance.
