Position Summary

Job Description

REF: #001

  • Overseeing and/or conducting trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure they produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct;
  • Lead development of test plans, test scripts and test data in troubleshooting application problems;
  • Performance of regression testing of client applications;
  • Participation with other project resources to resolve defects;
  • Writing user guides with the application driver using TACTIC or client desktop training tool; and
  • Providing Quality Assurance Support to the client by:
  1. Preparing QA plans and procedures;
  2. Implementing quality improvement programs;
  3. Recommending QA tools and techniques;
  4. Using QA tools and techniques;
  5. Using corrective action process;
  6. Using QA measurement techniques;
  7. Auditing procedures;
  8. Creating and maintaining test case documentation;
  9. Documenting/filtering/testing and pushing bug reports; and
  10. Testing bug fixes before implementation.
  • Any other QA Specialist related tasks requested by the client.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience as a Quality Assurance Specialists/Analyst
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience within the past 10 performing QA tasks in support of multi-user (10,000 users with 1000+ concurrent users) HRMS software applications
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience within the past 10 validating programs and software applications
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience within the past 10 years troubleshooting software applications
  • Experience performing QA of large organizations HRMS software applications within the past 4 years

Additional Information

  • Able to obtain and maintain a Government Secret level clearance
  • Able to work onsite 5 days a week in the Ottawa area
