ADGA is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to provide engineer support for SoS (System of Systems) on the LCSS (Land Command Support System) program.  


The Senior Systems Engineer must assist with the following

  • Engineering support for the SoS (System of systems) level Systems Engineering processes; 
  • Providing system matter expertise in the  development and maintenance of the LCSS Variable Message Format (VMF) messages and related products; 
  • Supporting SEM (Systems Engineering Management) for scheduling, planning, and event management, as well as risk and issue tracking in support of the SoS function.

Specific tasks/deliverables will include:

  • Engineering support to the SoS level SE function including the design, planning, integration and development oversight of LCSS;
  • Engineering support to the SoS level SEM function including scheduling, planning, event management, risk and issue tracking;
  • Developing, assessing and maintaining the LCSS VMF message standard and related products;
  • Validation and Verification support of the integrated LC4ISR SoS;
  • Assessing and supporting network security for LC4ISR, including but not limited to the validation and accreditation support, and development of system security measures based on evolving threats; and 
  • Providing administraive assistance to the SoS Chief Engineer, including but not limited to coordination of events and calendars, document management, and coordination of travel requirements.


  • A Bachelor's or Master's of Engineering in software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field;
  • A minimum of 6 years within the last 10 years of experience performing at least 4 of the following tasks:
    • Demonstrated systems engineering work experience analyzing, designing and/or implementing solutions in one or more of the following areas:

      • Command and control communication and information systems within a distributed platform environment;

      • Command and control communication and information systems within a client/server environment;

      • Military ISTAR systems;

      • Joint or Allied C4ISR Interoperability solutions using NATO Standardization Agreements; and

      • System management solutions (tools and processes) for communication & information systems and/or ISTAR systems.

    • Demonstrated work experience in system integration, verification and validation, for hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom developed) in new or existing systems;
    • Demonstrated systems engineering experience working on communication and information systems (Hardware, Software and Network) or Specialty engineering (Security, Modeling, Simulation, ISTAR).

    • Demonstrated work experience in system engineering within a Real-Time or Distributed Systems environment;

    • Demonstrated work experience in system life-cycle management of communication and information systems, or ISTAR systems.

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a System Engineer on Military C4ISR systems;

  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience within the last 8 years in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering (i.e. System, software, computer, communication, security, or simulation)

  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management;

  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks or strategies;

  • A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience performing at least two of the following:

    • Communicating information technology frameworks/strategies to management and technical staff;

    • Communicating system engineering direction for projects or systems; or

    • Performing strategic, operational or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.
