Job Description

Our Federal Government client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst for a long term contract.

In this role, you will work with the Project Director Office and will have the opportunity to develop and review key strategic and operational documentation, architecture artifacts and to help improve engagement and collaboration between key project stakeholders.

Tasks will include:

  • Provide documented and verbal advice and support to the Project team
  • Develop and conduct information briefs.
  • Develop work plans and schedules of work
  • Conduct a thorough review of provided project documentation and artifacts, as required.
  • Contribute to operational, project management, and other documents and artifacts as required by the technical authority.
  • Develop and provide awareness training material packages which are relevant to the resource field of expertise.
  • Involvement with
    • Strategy, Governance, Planning and Project Control
    • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Documentation and Deliverables
    • Business Alignment and Transformation

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid/active "Secret Level 2 security clearance" with the federal government - with PSPC/PWGSC.
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years combined experience (within the last 10 years) briefing business analysis results and options to the senior management and other project sub-teams such as architecture, design and development.
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years (within the last 10 years) developing user cases for business modelling and business requirements definition.
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of 8 years experience (within the last 10 years) identifying viable business solution options and recommending courses of action.
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of 8 years experience (within the last 15 years) performing business analysis of functional requirements to identify all of the following:
    • business requirements, procedures, methods, subsystems, interfaces, prototypes and decision flows.

Additional Information

  • Work will be a combination of on-site (in Ottawa) and remote.
  • Must hold a valid Secret clearance for this government contract.
