We are currently looking for Senior System Software Architect for a full time position for ADGA in the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities: 

1. Client /Server architecture and related technologies;

2. Analyzing, Designing and Implementing system architectures;

3. Communication engineering and systems security

(Hardware, software and network);

4. Real-Time or Distributed Systems;

5. Data architecture definition, and implementation;

6. System Integration: hardware and software, (COTS and/or custom developed) components into new or existing systems;

7. demonstrated experience in SysSwArch showing a progression in responsibility in the fields of Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Information Technology, Security, Network, or a related field as determined by the DND Technical Authority.

8. Minimum of 96 months of demonstrated experience in the last 120 months in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of information technology / information management or engineering (i.e. system, software, computer, communication, security).

9. Communicating information technology frameworks /

strategies to management and technical staff;

10. Communicating system engineering direction for projects or systems;

11. Providing advise, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management;

12. Leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of

IT tactical systems, frameworks or strategies

Requirements: 
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the analysis, design and implementation of client/server architecture and systems architecture.

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in communication engineering and systems security as well as Real-Time or Distributed Systems.

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in system integration: hardware and software into new or existing systems as well as experience with system life-cycle management for software intensive systems.

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of information technology or engineering.

  • Security Clearance: Enhanced Reliability and must be eligible to obtain Secret Level II.

  • Masters or Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in Electrical or Computer Engineering or computer-related discipline.
