The Configuration Data and Asset Management employee reports to the WSM Program Control and Asset Management Lead or other assigned Manager and provides contract/project support as required. Assist project management and data processing professionals, technical users and end users in simple routine and administrative tasks. This may include maintaining project documentation and application/system libraries acts as the first point of contact in a "hot-line" situation by accepting incoming calls, logging calls, attempting to resolve simple problems and following established procedures for more difficult problems. Track project change requests, timesheets, expenditures, invoices, and other Project related matters.

He/she is responsible for executing the processes and procedures of the Project /Division, and supporting the mission, the vision and the strategy of the Corporation as approved by the CEO.

He/she must ensure that he/she works in accordance with the values of the Corporation: integrity, commitment, loyalty, confidentiality, working in an ethical and professional manner, building knowledge and acting in a responsible and equitable manner at all times.

Responsibilities: 
  • Provide library management functions

  • Track, monitor and safeguard all crown assets used by DLCSPM software development teams

  • Implement periodic and annual Inventory of assets

  • File, organize and periodically verify media and confirm integrity of content

  • Regularly reconcile asset holdings on DLCSPM Supply Customer account

  • Order required assets and tools from CFSU (Canadian Forces Supply Unit)

  • Produce reports on assets on loan and confirm their whereabouts

  • Report any lost or damaged assets

  • Provide a variety of administrative functions as needed

Requirements: 
  • 3-5 years’ experience ensuring appropriate management and safeguarding of crown owned assets

    • Receipt and registration of assets

    • Distribution and life cycle management of Assets

  • 3-5 years’ experience providing Assets Life Cycle Management including:

    • Asset Verification

      • confirm accuracy of records

      • Update records

      • report missing, lost or damaged assets

    • Asset Survey and Inventory

      • Confirm location of assets based on asset types

      • Identify assets loaned and those on Loan

      • Identify all assets in use and verify their status

      • Identify assets ready for archival, disposal and those ready to be returned

  • 3-5 years’ experience providing Library management support services including:

    • Management of all borrow requests

    • Update of multiple asset type records (Quantity, status, return due dates)

    • Generate Asset reports as required

    • Manage and organize a library of assets

  • Experience working in a large organization providing services to internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience using Asset management tracking tools and Software applications

  • Experience in working independently as well as part of a team

  • Experience and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience in Document processing
