De-icing Services

As a recognized international leader in de-icing and anti-icing research, APS has been proactive in the field and is at the forefront of the development of associated regulations and standards.

APS manages and conducts tests at various sites in North America, in co-operation with key stakeholders such as Transport Canada (TC), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), several major airlines, fluid manufacturers, airport authorities and national and international Fixed Base Operators (FBO's).

APS's role is to manage, conduct and analyze testing related to the effectiveness of commercially produced de/anti-icing fluids, methodologies and technologies associated with operations under icing conditions.

Over the last decade, APS has been the leader in R&D in ground de-icing. The vast experience and expertise of APS in this field is demonstrated in over 50 technical reports that have been prepared for Transport Canada.
